Readers of Conde Nast Traveller magazine the bible of the travel industry - have recently voted Glasgow as second only to London as a UK tourist destination. It was the 18th most popular city in the world for city breaks in 2003 with 3.2 million visitors. It was also voted second only to London for its food scene.
