Fireplaces: Keep Warm and Romantic All Year Round

Author: Faye Spencer

Do you appreciate those chilly winter evenings? Are you one of those shoppers, who step outside into the cold winter snow and take a deep breath with a radiant smile on your cheeks? You just can't get enough of that clean cool air after such a hot and muggy summer season. Well, possibly you are and perhaps you aren't. The fact of the matter is that some of us are winter folk and some are cool with the summer heat. One thing is for sure; if you are a cool weather nut, then you most likely enjoy a nice country styled fireplace. Okay, so it doesn't have to be so country styled. It can be a more ornate or possibly rather contemporary gas stove fireplace if you prefer. As for me, there is just something about a nice comfy country side fire place that keeps me content on a cold winter's day.

Have you bought that ideal log cabin up in the far off mountains somewhere yet? If you have acquired that ideal second home, then it perhaps came fully equipped with a country fire place. These handy comforts go back as far as anyone can recall. In truth, they're some of the first forms of heat. How do you think folks like you and I heated their homes 2 centuries years ago? Try a rustic wood burning fireplace or nice hefty wood stove. That was right about the only way to go back then. A good number of months ago I got a fairly good taste of what true rustic life was like. You see my older sister owns about 20 acres of land in northern Iowa. Anyway, he had a small getaway cabin built up there for a fun sojourn. Now when I say he had one built, I'm not talking about by contractors and a traditional construction firm.

I'm speaking about an Amish family. They literally made this traditional cabin by hand. It is phenomenal work to say the least. They even installed a top notch rustic wood burning fireplace to top it off. I had the pleasure of staying up there with my brothers for a few days and it was the bomb! Even though it was cold and snowy, that nifty country fireplace kept the complete cabin warm. Right now I can't wait to get back up there and trip to the wonders of the wilderness. The isolation is a nice break for any human being. If you are eager in having a timeless country side gas stove fireplace installed in your home, it's time to check out what's found in your area. Get digital and find pricing guides. Sort through a large number of choices in order to pinpoint the most ideal deal around.
